Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is the last arc of Bleach, so everyone is excited about the series, even non-Bleach fans. However, some are wondering if they can enjoy Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War without watching the previous episodes of Bleach which can seem overwhelming for some.

Bleach has a total of 16 seasons, which is equivalent to 366 episodes. While some would not mind streaming that many episodes, others might feel like it is a bit too much.

Not to mention that each episode runs for about 20 minutes, which is approximately 7,320 minutes in total just to catch up.

What Can You Expect From Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War?

Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW) will cover the intense battle between the Soul Society and the Quincy. The Quincy held a thousand-year-old grudge against the Soul Society and planned to eradicate every Shinigami, which the Soul Society and Ichigo's group are aiming to stop.

The Quincy’s plan does not only involve the Soul Society but also the human world and Hueco Mundo. If the Quincy race wins, they will take over every realm and rule as they please.

Of course, this final Bleach arc will not be complete without a new set of characters. In fact, around 30 characters were included in this arc alone.

While it is optional to watch the whole series, it might be confusing to just focus on and watch the last arc, especially for someone who doesn't know what Bleach is all about. There are a lot of characters to know, abilities to get familiar with, and backstories to understand.

Binge-watching Bleach might be overwhelming but there are also other long-running anime with 500 or even more than 1,000 episodes like One Piece.
