As fans eagerly wait for the show’s premiere, it seems that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 1 will be released on October 10, at least if recent reports from leakers are to be believed.

Recently, several notable leakers on Twitter including @WSJ_manga and @JaymesHanson shared that the series’ highly anticipated return will happen on October 10, with the reports also suggesting that it will get the midnight timeslot.

The weekday release for Bleach is interesting as it mirrors that of the recent reports of the Chainsaw Man anime also airing on a weekday.

This is interesting because big anime such as these often get weekend timeslots so that more people can watch them.

It will be interesting to see how these shows will fare if the reports of weekday releases turn out to be true.

One reason for these timeslots might be how stacked the upcoming Fall 2022 anime season is.

Aside from these two shows, there’s also My Hero Academia Season 6 along with Spy x Family Part 2.

Aside from the possible release date, there are also reports that the show’s opening theme is “Scar” by Kitani Tatsuya while the ending theme is “Saihate” by SennaRin.

Written and illustrated by Tite Kubo, Bleach is considered one of the big three manga of Weekly Shonen Jump from the 2000s to the early 2010s alongside Naruto and One Piece. The manga ran from August 2001 to August 2016.

Thousand-Year Blood War is an anime adaptation of the manga’s final arc. This arc covers Volumes 55 to 74 of the manga.

The manga received an anime series adaptation that ran from October 2004 to March 2012. This original anime run did not feature a proper conclusion as it did not adapt the manga’s final arc. This means Thousand-Year Blood War can be considered the anime series’ final season.

Aside from being the show’s true end, this upcoming anime promises to be the series’ most brutal part yet, according to an interview with author Tite Kubo back in Anime Expo 2022.

While Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 1 is reportedly releasing in October, there’s no official word yet on a simulcast outside Japan.
