Many fans of BLACKPINK Lisa are thrilled for the upcoming release of her first-ever solo album titled "LALISA." On August 23 and 26, teaser photos of her imminent extended play were released alongside the pre-order notice.
BLACKPINK Lisa Surpasses Numerous Records With ‘LALISA' Album
All Kpop reported that the forthcoming solo album of BLACKPINK Lisa just made a new record even if it has not been released yet. "LALISA," as per reports, surpassed 100,000 pre-order copies in just a span of 27 hours on Ktown4U, which is one of the biggest K-pop online stores for K-pop albums, goods, K-food, and K-beauty.
The said record made BLACKPINK Lisa the fastest K-pop female artist to break the 100K-pre-order mark within 27 hours on Ktown4U. Not only that, because "LALISA" was also named the fastest album by a female act to surpass 50K, 60K, 70K, 80K, and 90K pre-orders on the said online store.
As if that is not enough, "LALISA" by BLACKPINK Lisa also nabbed more than 96,000 pre-orders in just 24 hours on Ktown4U. The co-member of Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo also became the most sold album for the first 24 hours of pre-order by a female K-pop idol or K-pop group on the above-mentioned online store in just 16 hours.
BLACKPINK Lisa's latest achievements are more interesting because all these records are only based on one site. In other words, the Thai rapper could replicate these milestones in other online K-pop stores that would sell her upcoming "LALISA" album.
BLACKPINK Lisa will release her first-ever solo album "LALISA" on Sept. 10, 2021, at 1 p.m. KST. She is the third member of the YG Entertainment-formed K-pop group to launch a solo album after Jennie and Rosé. Jisoo, for her part, is busy filming her upcoming K-drama series titled Snowdrop.
BLACKPINK Lisa Dominated Fashion Industry Prior To ‘LALISA' Album Release
Meanwhile, before YG Entertainment even confirmed that BLACKPINK Lisa would be releasing her solo album, the K-pop idol has become more involved in the fashion industry. As a matter of fact, the 24-year-old rapper-dancer has been working with Hedi Slimane, creative director of luxury brand Celine, since 2019.
BLACKPINK Lisa then became the official global ambassador of the luxury brand in September 2020. In July 2020, the "How You Like That" hitmaker was announced to be the latest brand ambassador of Bvlgari.
Earlier this year, BLACKPINK Lisa was also tapped to become a hurry for the 2021 ANDAM awards and helped select the winner of the prestigious French fashion prize. The co-member of Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo headlined a star-studded list of jurors, including fashion designers Phoebe Philo, Kerby Jean-Raymond, and Chinese singer Chris Lee.
In an interview with WWD in July, BLACKPINK Lisa admitted she did not expect to become part of the panel of judges since she considers herself a newbie in the field of fashion. She said:
"I was very surprised when I first got the invitation as a juror. Since I'm very new in the fashion world, I thought this could be quite an adventurous and challenging experience for me at first. But at the same time, I thought it would be an exciting experience and I would learn a lot from this opportunity."
