Black Adam Dwayne Johnson on Henry Cavill's Return As Superman: "We Fought for Years to Bring You Back"

Over the weekend, all the buzz is on Henry Cavill as he confirms his return as Superman in the DCEU following his cameo appearance in Black Adam's post-credits scene. The Rock personally shared the video announcement of Cavill saying, "We fought for years to bring you back."

Henry Cavill let the weekend pass before officially announcing his return to the DCEU as Superman, giving the fans a chance to see Black Adam first before confirming all the buzz and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson shared Cavill's video on Twitter with touching words on the actor's return.

The Rock captioned, "We fought for years to bring you back. They always said no. But to @DanyGarciaCo@hhgarcia41 & myself "no” was not an option. We can’t build out our DCEU w/out the world’s greatest superhero."

The Rock acknowledges the importance of heeding to the call of the fans while he welcome Cavill back to the DCEU, looking forward to their face-off, "And fans will always come first. Welcome home. I’ll see you down the road. ~ #BlackAdam"

Henry Cavill first donned the cape of Superman in 2013 in Man of Steel alongside Amy Adams' Lois Lane and they easily won the hearts of many on their portrayal of the iconic characters from the DC comics. The last time Cavill was seen as Superman was in the Justice League Snyder cut.

Thankfully, everyone got to see Henry Cavill back as Superman in Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's DCEU debut as Black Adam in the post-credits scene where Cavill comes out of the shadows to invite Black Adam to for a talk.

This scene not only teases the face-off between two of the strongest DCEU characters to date which could possibly be the next Black Adam film but it also cements the place of Henry Cavill back to the ranks of the DCEU franchise.

Even a few days before the release of Black Adam, the fans of Henry Cavill are overjoyed upon the confirmation that Man of Steel 2 is already in the works which makes his return in the DCEU as a solid foundation to the future of the franchise.
