Well, the secret is finally out! After years of fans campaigning for his comeback, Henry Cavill is officially taking flight once again as the DC Extended Universe's one and only Superman. The British actor made his jaw-dropping return during Black Adam's mid-credits scene and while the latest reports claim that it was just a one-off, Cavill himself is now confirming that we'll see more of his version of the Man of Steel.
Taking to Instagram, the 39-year-old star finally broke his silence following his Superman cameo and assured fans that it's only a "very small taste of what’s to come" and their patience will be rewarded. He didn't exactly say when we'll see him next but Henry pretty much teased that he is back full-time.
In a short video he posted on the platform addressing his grand return, Cavill said: "There's a lot to be thankful for, and I'll get to that in time, but I wanted to thank you guys most of all. Thank you for your support and thank you for your patience. I promise it will be rewarded." Check out his post here.
Henry Cavill's return to the DCEU may have been one of the franchise's worst-kept secrets but that doesn't matter anymore. Now that Cavill himself has finally confirmed that we'll see more of him as Superman, this puts to rest all speculation that he doesn't have a future under Warner Bros. Discovery's new regime. Things just got truly exciting for the DCEU.
