While several leaks have already been circulating all over social media, some fans are still tempering their expectations, and understandably so. But it looks like WB Discovery's long-term plan for the DCEU has finally been laid out and Cavill's full-time return as the beloved superhero could be upon us.

According to a new scoop from The Hollywood Reporter, WB Discovery's new regime, led by CEO David Zaslav has "an intense desire" to bring Cavill back for his long overdue Man of Steel sequel. As it stands, the specifics regarding the project are still being kept under wraps but the outlet notes that the production company is currently searching for writers.

Of course, nothing has officially been confirmed yet and although THR has always been a reputable source of insider scoop, it's still best to wait for WB Discovery's announcement. If Man of Steel 2 does happen, then there's clearly no doubt that David Zaslav and company are indeed committed to turning the DCEU into the entertainment powerhouse it was always meant to be. The future is exciting.

Meanwhile, DC's Black Adam is hitting cinemas this Friday, October 21st.
