Kevin Feige has been a huge part of Marvel's success and has made huge strides for comic book films, including Black Panther, which is the first superhero film to ever receive a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards. While there's no doubt that Feige has an immense adoration for the franchise, his first love was Star Wars.

Feige will be trying his hand in making a Star Wars movie. There's yet to be any details with regards to the one he'll be developing, but Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo thinks he'll do great. "Star Wars is Kevin's first and true love," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "He's a man who has a very, very large basement filled with enough Star Wars paraphernalia to fill a museum." He thinks whatever Feige does with his film is "going to be passionate, emotional, and unique."

Feige was revealed to be the one who approached Lucasfilm to make a film. He asked the studio if he "could step in" and do one and Kathleen Kennedy thought that it was a "pretty cool idea." He has also expressed his admiration for the franchise in the past, admitting that he loves the "notion of exploring new places" in that universe."

Back in December, Kennedy says Feige already has an idea for the film. However, it is still in the early stages. It isn't clear whether Feige's movie will be one of the future Star Wars movies slated for release in 2022, 2024, and 2026.

For now, Disney looks to be focused on the franchise's future on television. With the release of The Mandalorian in October, as well as new shows following the story of Cassian Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
