Attack on Titan made a huge splash over the weekend thanks to the recent one-hour special. While it was a serious affair, Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 had an unintentionally hilarious scene involving a sliding titan.

For the most part, the one-hour special featured grim moments that show the full extent of the Rumbling’s destruction.

Because of this, the unexpectedly funny scene was very much a welcome sight.

Part 2 ended with Eren starting the Rumbling and commanding an army of massive titans to flatten the whole world except for Paradis island. A combined fleet of various nations tried to stop it but to no avail.

The third part begins with the titans trampling Marleyans and Eldians alike, with no survivors.

While Mikasa and the remaining scouts were able to make it to the flying boat, the Rumbling soon reaches them.

Because of Floch’s surprise attack, the flying boat sustained damage and had to be repaired.

As a result, Hange Zoe sacrificed herself to slow down the titans' advance just enough so that the flying boat can get airborne.

At the end of the special, the team of Mikasa, Armin, and company were able to make their way to Eren, thus setting up a massive final battle.

When Mikasa and company spot the titans’ advance, one Colossal Titan is shown slipping and sliding down the side of a mountain, taking down other titans in the process.

This was a serious moment, but the awkward way the titan slid was undoubtedly a hilarious sight to see.

Many fans even joked that it’s a reference to SiM’s song called The Rumbling which features the lyrics “If I lose it all, slip and fall, will you laugh at me?”

Fans most certainly did laugh, but the scene was done more than just for comedic effect.

Specifically, it showed that while fearsome, the Colossal Titans aren’t particularly smart, nor do they have a good sense of balance.

Thanks to their deficiencies, Hange was able to take down some of them to slow their advance just in time for an escape.

Mikasa, Armin, and company won’t be as lucky though as they’ll be facing off against Eren in his Founding Titan form.

However, we’ll have to wait a bit longer for Part 4 as it will be released later this year.
