Who is this young boy, and what could he entail in the future of the series?

Who Is the Wandering Boy at the End of Attack on Titan?
Unfortunately, no one but Hajime Isayama himself knows about the real identity of the wandering boy who ends up finding Eren’s huge tree at the end of Attack on Titan.
Isayama never mentioned any details about this kid, including his dog, so we can only speculate about the mystery behind the boy.
In the post-credit scene of Attack on Titan, we saw how Paradis Island changed over the years after the deaths of Eren and Mikasa.
The power of the titans disappeared after Ymir was released by Mikasa, but the world, according to Historia, is still in conflict due to the lingering impact of the Rumbling on both the Eldians and the Marleyans.
True enough, as the credits roll in the Attack on Titan anime, Paradis Island modernizes to the extent that it achieves a futuristic vibe.
But war choppers, tanks, and so on keep on coming, turning the world Eren created for everyone to live into chaos once again.
Interestingly, as the world is in conflict, Eren’s tree grows sturdy. It became one of the tallest and biggest trees, which resembled the same tree with a chasm at its base that the founder, Ymir, discovered before she became the first-ever titan in the world.
The glowing, spine-like creature resided within the tree, latched itself to the founder Ymir, and turned her into a titan.
Suppose the saying “history repeats itself” applies here. In that case, it’s 100% possible that the glowing, spine-like creature is also within Eren’s tree and is about to overrun the world with titans again if it fuses with the boy’s body.
Some Theories About the Wandering Boy at the End of Attack on Titan
There are a lot of theories about the young boy at the end of Attack on Titan, but nothing has ever been confirmed by Hajime Isayama himself. Even so, it’s interesting to know about other people’s thoughts about the mysterious young boy.
In one theory, the young boy is said to be Mikasa Ackerman’s descendant due to his black hair as well as the noticeable scarf wrapped around his neck. His haircut also resembles that of Mikasa’s short hair, but these are all just observations about the boy’s physical appearance.
Another theory suggests that the young boy with a dog is Eren’s reincarnation. He has the same build and vibe that Eren had when he was young. It will also make sense if he is Eren’s reincarnation, given how the past, present, and future are all connected in the series.
At this point, we’ll never know about the identity of the wandering boy unless Hajime Isayama himself makes a sequel or a spin-off of the series that features the character.
