There is little doubt that Jonathan Majors will prove how well he can play a Marvel Cinematic Universe supervillain in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. However, it looks like he also had to go up against another MCU actor and somehow got beat up by N'Jadaka. Majors says he enjoyed being punched by Michael B. Jordan in Creed III.
Jonathan Majors is one of the new cast members who will be joining Creed 3, playing Adonis Creed's childhood friend Damian Anderson who reappears to challenge Donnie. Needless to say, the two will face off against each other in the ring and Majors told Deadline that he enjoyed getting hit by Michael B. Jordan.
"I took a couple [punches], I think. I loved it," Majors said. He then pointed out that he was happy to join the Sylvester Stallone franchise.
"I’m just so humbled by the opportunity to be a part of the Rocky franchise. Sly, Michael B. Jordan, it’s like, if I’m gonna be in that lineage, even as a baddie, I wanna go for it," Majors stated. He also clarified that although he got beat up by Jordan, the Lovecraft Country star managed to get a few punches in as well.
"So, yeah, [Michael] might have caught me a few times. I took some body shots, and gave out a few, too," Majors said.
It's interesting to note that Creed III has two major MCU supervillains going up against each other. Michael B. Jordan played Eric Killmonger in Black Panther and had a small (but important) cameo in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. With that in mind, we can't wait to see how the fight between Kang and N'Jadaka goes down.
Creed 3 also stars Thor: Love and Thunder actor Tessa Thompson and Florian Munteanu, who played Razor Fist in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Stallone, who appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, serves as a producer of the sequel. The film will premiere on March 3, 2023.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania hits theaters on February 17, 2023.
