The ongoing court battle between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp had become a parade of disturbing details from their relationship, which ended when the Aquaman actress filed for divorce in 2016.

Amber also obtained a domestic violence restraining order against Johnny at the time, accusing the Pirates of the Caribbean star of physically and verbally abusing her -- allegations that the actor has denied.

For starters, Johnny Depp is suing his ex-wife for $50 million based on a 2018 op-ed she penned for the Washington Post detailing her experiences as a domestic abuse survivor.

Though Amber Heard never mentioned the name of the Black Mass actor in the said piece, Johnny's lawyers claimed it was clear who the op-ed was referring to, adding that it damaged his reputation and career.

Recently, Johnny Depp's expert witness claimed Amber Heard has two personality disorders, causing her to be "violent" and "full of rage" at times. Keep on reading to know more details.

Is Amber Heard Suffering From HPD And BPD?

Globe Magazine, in its upcoming May 16, 2022 issue, reported that Dr. Shannon Curry testified for Johnny Depp on April 26, the ninth day of the Fantastic Beasts actor's Virginia defamation trial against Amber Heard.

After studying case materials and interviewing the London Fields actress for 12 hours, the clinical forensic psychologist diagnosed Amber to be suffering from a histrionic personality disorder (HPD) and borderline personality disorder (BPD).

Dr. Shannon Curry noted that "drama and shallowness" are the key features of HPD. People like Amber Heard, as per Globe, feel "extreme discomfort with not being the center of attention" and will react by "making up stories to try to get attention, taking on a victim or princess role."

The expert noted Amber Heard demonstrated "quick shifts in emotion, saying:

"She would suddenly be very animated or very sad. There's a sense of shallowness almost like play-acting."

Dr. Shannon Curry added people with HPD are "very interested in looks, utilize their looks to get attention" and use "manipulation to get their needs met." As for BPD, the licensed therapist shared Amber Heard had a "temper" and "cut her arm in the past, [a] typical, reactive type thing" people with the disorder do.

The therapist said it is typical of BPD that they feel wounded and angry if a friend or loved one is not meeting their needs. A "former friend" of Amber Heard named Raquel Pennington claimed the 3 Days To Kill actress "struck her in the face, sort of out the blue."

However, the attorney of Amber Heard claimed it was Raquel Pennington who had first "hit" the Machete Kills star and Johnny Depp's ex-wife "pushed or slapped her in response."

Dr. Shannon Curry also admitted she believes there was "some sort of violence both ways" in Johnny Depp's romance with Amber Heard. The actress is countersuing her former beau for $100 million.

Amber Heard Claims Johnny Depp Penetrated Her With A Liquor Bottle

Meanwhile, Amber Heard took the stand again last week and described the alleged abuse by Johnny Depp she said escalated into them mistreating each other. On her second day of testimony, per CNN, the Syrup actress stated:

"Nothing I did made him stop hitting me. Nothing. I tried for over a year, maybe two, of just not responding physically, not responding verbally, just staring at him, I tried to freeze, I tried to go to a different place. I would try then lashing out verbally. I would try to threaten that if he hit me again that I would call the police."

Amber Heard even recounted a wild fight with Johnny Depp in Australia where he allegedly penetrated her v****a repeatedly with a liquor bottle, leaving her retching and bloodied. The One More Time actress said the March 2015 trip for the shooting of Pirates of the Caribbean 5 was chaotic from the start.

After Johnny Depp had reportedly been drinking, he allegedly started calling Amber Heard names like "sl*t" and "fat-*ss" and slammed her up against the wall in their rented pad. The actress said she shoved Johnny back, which prompted him to say, "Do you want to go, little girl?"

It reportedly sparked a massive fight between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp in which the actress alleges her ex-lover threw her on a table, whacked her in the face repeatedly, threw bottles at her, punched a wall beside her head, and ripped her nightgown off.

Amber Heard testified:

“At some point, he had a broken bottle up against my face, neck area, by my jawline, and he told me he’d carve up my face."

The Never Back Down actress, who claimed she only had "flashes" of memory of the fight, added:

“The next thing I remember, I was bent over backwards on the bar. I thought he was punching me, I felt this pressure on my pubic bone.... I remember looking around the room. I remember looking at all the broken bottles, broken glass, and I remember just not wanting to move because I didn’t know if it was broken or if the bottle he had inside of me was broken. I couldn’t feel it, I didn’t feel pain, I didn’t feel anything... I just remember thinking, ‘Please God, please I hope it’s not broken.’”

Amber Heard then said she recalled being in a bathroom retching, losing control of her bladder, and bleeding from her v****a. After she took two sleeping pills, the former wife of Johnny Depp said she woke up hearing Marilyn Manson music blaring, and the walls and furniture were smeared with mashed potatoes, dried blood, and paint.

Johnny Depp was missing a finger, and he had ripped her nightgown into shreds and rapped up pieces of steak in it, Amber Heard furthered. She said:

“I was heartbroken. Eventually I realized I could be hurt because I was bleeding, but I convinced myself that the bottle wasn’t broken; otherwise it would be a lot worse.”

A spokesperson for Johnn Depp said in a statement:

"As Mr. Depp's counsel correctly predicted in their opening statements last month, Ms. Heard did indeed deliver 'the performance of her life' in her direct examination. The upcoming cross-examination from Mr. Depp's team will be most telling, and will certainly highlight the many fallacies Ms. Heard has now attempted to pass off as fact throughout her convoluted testimony."
