Star Magazine, in its upcoming May 9, 2022 issue, reported that Carole Middleton's meddling ways became so "irksome" that Kate Middleton cut off all contact. An unnamed source told the entertainment news publication that the mother-daughter pair has not been on speaking terms for three months now.
The royal insider said Carole Middleton is a "very pushy mother." It added that close pals of Kate Middleton called her "Controlling Carole" due to her constant interfering in her daughter's affairs.
The magazine reported that the alleged tension between Kate Middleton and Carole Middleton can be traced to the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Duchess of Cambridge had previously relied on the help of her mom in raising Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

However, after being on the lockdown with the royal kids, Kate Middleton is reportedly happy to discover she could take on more than she thought. The better half of Prince William reportedly realized how freeing it was to not have to deal with Carole Middleton's "overbearing" behavior.
A tipster claimed:
"It was the first time in Kate's life that she got to be with George, Charlotte, and Louis full-time. The Duchess embraced every minute of it and realized she can do without her bossy mother trying to take over."
It added that, while Kate Middleton pulled away, Carole Middleton clung tighter. The mother-in-law of Prince William allegedly turns up at their Norfolk country residence, Amner Hall, to surprise the family unannounced.
The informant stated:
"Kate would be in the Middleton of a Zoom call or homeschooling the kids, and it would be Carole with a suitcase expecting to stay over. She'd walk into the house like she owned the place and try to take over the homeschooling and tell Kate how to dress the kids. It irritated William to no end."

Star Magazine reported that Carole's party planning business presently offers a collection celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth, marking her 70th year on the throne.
An insider claimed:
"Carole selling tacky Platinum Jubilee products is hugely embarrassing for Kate. Kate can't take any more humiliation and told her mom to stop pushing her products onto William's family."
When Carole Middleton refused to grant Kate Middleton's request to allegedly stop making money off the royals, Prince William reportedly stepped in. The informant claimed:
