The lawyers of Amber Heard rested their defense on Tuesday, May 24, after six weeks of ferocious claims and counterclaims of domestic violence, in the defamation suit filed by her former husband, Johnny Depp.
The attorneys of the Pirates of the Caribbean star retorted by asking that Amber Heard’s countersuit against Johnny Depp be dismissed, but the judge hearing the case in Virginia declined to do so.
Judge Penney Azcarate stated enough evidence had been presented for the seven-person jury to weigh the merits of Johnny Depp’s defamation suit against Amber Heard and her countersuit against him.
For starters, the Black Mass actor filed suit against his ex-wife over an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in December 2018 in which the Aquaman star described herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.”
Now, a new report claims that Amber Heard has been copycatting Johnny Depp’s courthouse attire during their sensational trial because she, allegedly, wants to reconnect with him. Keep on reading to know more details.
Amber Heard Playing Look-Alike Games In Bid To Get Johnny Depp Back?
National Enquirer, in its upcoming May 30, 2022 issue, reported a mental health expert claimed Amber Heard is copying the courthouse ensembles of Johnny Depp as she, reportedly, wants to reconnect with him.
The entertainment news outlet noted that, on the first day of trial, the Fantastic Beasts actor donned a gray suit and bee lapel pin, which the Aquaman actress allegedly copied the following day.

The publication claimed several other instances followed. It noted that Johnny Depp wore a dark suit with pointed lapels one day and Amber Heard was, reportedly, spotted sporting a dark pantsuit with a pointed lapel the next day.
Also, the London Fields actress reportedly donned a silk scarf similar to one that the Yoga Hosers star had worn. National Enquirer also claimed Johnny Depp wore a ponytail one day, which Amber Heard reportedly followed the next day.
Dr. Deena Manion, psychologist, and clinical officer of Westwind Recovery in Los Angeles, said:
“She continues to try to get him to look at her. One of the ways to get his attention is dressing like him or dressing the way he likes doesn’t seem like she’s done with the relationship.”
However, the feeling is reportedly not mutual. Dr. Deena added:
“Johnny seems to be very disinterested, disgusted by Amber, and barely even looks at her.”
National Enquirer noted Amber Heard broke down on the stand numerous times. However, Dr. Deena Manion claimed her behavior indicates she has not come to accept the end of the relationship.
“Everybody expresses trauma in different ways, but I didn’t see any tears when she was crying. I don’t know if she’s traumatized from the actual abuse or if she’s traumatized from losing the relationship and him not loving and engaging her in the way she wanted.”
Johnny Depp, for his part, insists Amber Heard abused him and denies all her allegations. The Mortdecai actor filed the defamation complaint in the United States after losing a libel case in London in November 2020 that he brought against The Sun for naming him a “wife-beater.”
Amber Heard has yet to comment on the statements of Dr. Deena Manion, suggesting that she secretly wants to reconnect with Johnny Depp. So, avid followers of the Never Back Down actress should take all these claims lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
Kate Moss Debunked Amber Heard's Claim Johnny Depp Pushed Her Down The Stairs
Meanwhile, on Thursday, supermodel Kate Moss, per BBC, testified that, during her relationship with Johnny Depp in the 1990s, the Murder on the Orient Express actor did not push her down the stairs as had been rumored and mentioned by Amber Heard in testimony.
Rebuttal witnesses countered the testimony of experts put forward in Amber Heard’s defense regarding her alleged loss of earnings and the mental health of both her and Johnny Depp.

On Monday, entertainment industry expert Kathryn Arnold testified that she found the op-ed had no impact on Johnny Depp’s career, but the surrounding scandal had reportedly cost Amber Heard up to $50 million in earnings.
Johnny Depp and his legal representatives, on the other hand, have referred to the actor’s career being negatively impacted as a result of Amber's abuse claims. Though it remains to be seen if he could ever act again, the former lover of Amber Heard is reported to have at least one acting role in the pipeline.
The court heard differing accounts of alleged violent incidents, and a former pal of Amber Heard’s sister stated she believes it was “something very wrong” to support claims against Johnny Depp. The Public Enemies actor is returning to the stand today, and closing arguments are scheduled for Friday, May 27.
