Akiba Maid War Stage Play Reveals New Cast Visual

Initially revealed back in May, the upcoming Akiba Maid War stage play recently shared a new visual that revealed more cast members ahead of its run this September.

Specifically, the visual was shared on the play’s official Twitter account, and it featured a look at four new cast members who join the story’s two main stars.

Instead of just showing the cast members though, the visual sees them don their signature maid outfits, except for the manager, of course.

Akiba Maid War Play Finally Reveals More Cast Members

Akiba Maid War is an anime that aired in the Fall 2022 season, and unlike most shows at the time, it is an anime original that’s not based on a manga or light novel.

Though it wasn’t the biggest show of Fall 2022, it still gained a sizeable following, enough that the anime will get a live stage adaptation, as is the case with many popular shows like Chainsaw Man and Bocchi the Rock!

In the previous announcement, the actresses of Nagomi Wahira and Ranko Mannen were revealed in a teaser visual.

Now, the new visual features Nagomi and Ranko joined by four more characters.

Currently, here are the six confirmed cast members for the stage play:

• Hinata Sato as Nagomi Wahira
• Hotaru Nomoto as Ranko Mannen
• Asana Mamoru as Zoya
• Marina Nagasawa as Yumechi
• Rina Hashimoto as Shiipon
• Miyuki Torii as Manager

We’ve yet to see any clips of the show’s stars in action, but we’ll probably get more teasers soon given that the play’s run will begin in just two months.

Akiba Maid War Stage Play Production Dates

Unlike many anime stage plays which are turned into musicals, the Akiba Maid War play won’t suddenly have musical numbers.

But it’ll be interesting to see how the anime’s brutal fights will be adapted on the stage.

We won’t have to wait too long to find out though, as the play will run from September 6-10, 2023, at the Hakuhinkan Theater in Tokyo.

Selected show dates will also feature appearances from the anime’s voice actresses.

For now, there’s no word yet on future show dates. But given how short the run is, there’s a chance a recording of the play will be available as a Blu-ray release, as is the case with the Lycoris Recoil stage play.

While the play will run soon, there’s no word yet on an Akiba Maid War Season 2.
