A new teaser for Ahsoka has finally confirmed the Star Wars show's official release date. In addition to that, we just got a preview of an epic lightsaber duel between Sabine Wren and Shin Hati.

New Ahsoka Teaser Features Sabine Wren Wielding Ezra Bridger's Lightsaber

The new Ahsoka teaser doesn't have a lot of new footage but it finally unveils a scene we have all heard about. In the video, Sabine reveals that she is still in possession of Ezra Bridger's green lightsaber.

Fans have already known about this particular scene. It was featured in the sizzle reel for Ahsoka that was screened during Star Wars Celebration. Needless to say, it's great that the scene has finally been featured in an official teaser.

The idea of Sabine wielding Ezra's lightsaber is already cool but it looks like there is an important reason why she took the weapon out in the first place. The new teaser immediately shows Sabine taking on the villainous Shin Hati, who looks surprised by the Mandalorian's moves.

We already suspected that Shin Hati will go up against some of the main characters in Ahsoka. Although we were hoping she would face off against Ahsoka Tano right away, it's great to know she'll need to fight Sabine first.

Ahsoka will star Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn.

The series is set to be the first posthumous release for the late Ray Stevenson. The Thor: Ragnarok star, who passed away in May this year, plays Baylan Skoll in the show.

Ahsoka will consist of eight episodes and is finally set to premiere on Disney+ on August 23, 2023.
