Throughout the episode, we've seen the sword multiple times before it finally reveals its true nature in the last few minutes when Loki wielded it. Kid Loki could make it appear and disappear in one gesture of a hand and the dagger seems to be a magical one as it is a flaming one – something that is familiar in both the comics and the history of Loki himself in the myths.

The mythical weapon is called the Laevateinn and it dates back to the Norse Mythology that Loki wielded. The dagger was first used to slay Víðópnir, a rooster, and beyond that, the sword had its own legacy as it became the ancestral blade of Loki that he could summon at will. The word where the name is based on fits the wielder himself as "Lae" means deception and "vateinn" means "wand."

Maybe Falcon was right after all when he said that the big three are aliens, androids, or wizards as Loki has proven all these with aliens being taken by the Time Variance Authority like the Skrulls, androids with the fake Time-Keepers, and wizards like Loki finally wielding the deception wand or the Laevateinn.

Loki and the dagger's connection dating back to the myths and making it canon in the MCU makes the sword more connected to the real origins of the character himself. With him finally having to wield the mythical sword, Loki comes back to his roots from where he first became the God of Mischief.

Perhaps it is the same sword that made Kid Loki a variant himself when he caused a nexus event because he killed Thor. The significance of Kid Loki giving it to Loki makes him more interesting as well. In recent shows, the MCU seems to be forming the "Young Avengers" with Billy and Tommy being introduced in WandaVision, Elijah Bradley in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and now, Kid Loki.

Future appearances such as Miss America in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Kate Bishop being the new Hawkeye in a new series, and with Cassie Lang shaping up for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the roster is complete.

Let's see what this sword would do in the future and what Kid Loki has in store.
