X-23 Could Appear in Wolverine 3, Here’s Why

There haven't been a lot of details released regarding Wolverine 3, but the highly anticipated film has successfully built up quite the hype over the past few months.

The film will be Hugh Jackman's last run as Logan, but it's become more exciting for comic book fans since it is believed to be based on the Old Man Logan storyline from the comics.

Now according to SuperHeroHype, there are speculations that X-23 may also appear in the movie, which means Wolverine won't be the only clawed mutant to appear on the big screen. This perfectly aligns with a report yesterday about a casting for the film that involves a "Caucasian, Hispanic, and Asian-looking females over the age of 21, a height of 4' - 4'11, and a size 0-4."

This does not necessarily mean the role is for X-23, but if the rumors are to be believed, it will be the perfect way to create a new Wolverine-ish franchise without having to recast Hugh Jackman. After all, the creators of X-Men did admit that the 47-year-old Australian actor is irreplaceable as Wolverine. As for Jackman, he previously mentioned wanting this actor to replace him as the clawed mutant.

Wolverine 3 is slated for release on March 3, 2017, but we'll could see Logan appear in X-Men: Apocalypse on May 27. Bryan Singer did tease the possibility last month.
