Wonder Woman 3 producer Charles Roven has confirmed that the film is under development and Warner Brothers have in its plans the follow-up movie of Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984 under the DC Extended Universe and it will still be under the direction of Patty Jenkins.

In a chat with ComicBook.com, Roven shared "We're starting to put something together, we're moving in a direction. It's definitely something we're going to want to realize."

Currently, while Wonder Woman 3 is still in development, Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins would continue making their Cleopatra film and just after that, Jenkins would proceed to direct Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. Should Diana Prince's return be set on a clear path, Wonder Woman 3 is expected to get a green light for production once they already map out what happens next.

Roven has been with DC with projects like Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman 1984, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Justice League, and Suicide Squad. He also shared what happens next with Henry Cavill's departure as Superman which will relieve Roven of his duties producing Superman as well.

Still, he believes that various versions of the character could co-exist like what is about to be set up for Batman. Who knows which character will have multiple versions as well, right? Anything is possible!

This only means that whatever future is laid out for Wonder Woman, there would always be something for her – a concrete space in the DCEU, and it seems that they would be sticking up with Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins' combination to produce yet another masterpiece.

Wonder Woman 3 has no release date given yet.
