Andy Muschietti's upcoming The Flash project top-billed by Ezra Miller is already looking tremendously promising with the involvement of Ben Affleck and Micheal Keaton as two versions of the caped crusader Batman. Considering the film draws massive inspiration from the now-iconic Flashpoint storyline, it's safe to assume that more DC characters are set to appear in the film as well. Characters like Cyborg and Wonder Woman have both been reported to appear in the film but you are all well aware of Ray Fisher's issues with Warner Bros.

As for Gal Gadot, her involvement in the project seems to be in jeopardy as the star of the divisive Wonder Woman 1984 may not appear in the film after all. According to an exclusive scoop from Giant Freakin Robot, WB is looking to recast the Israeli actress in the upcoming project which has already begun production. Details about Gadot's alleged recasting weren't disclosed so you better take this one with a grain of salt. However, it's safe to speculate that her pregnancy may have been a deciding factor for the studio's decision to have her replaced.

Now, some people may make a huge deal out of this but I'm pretty confident that Gal, despite the recent backlash she received online isn't going anywhere. Let's be real here, WB can't afford to lose someone like Gadot on their DC roster. Obviously, since the film is taking some pages out of the Flashpoint arc, Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman can't be removed from the equation since she plays a significant role in the comic's story. The real question right now is, which actress could end up playing the part?

The Flash is scheduled for release in 2022.
