Will Toradora Ever Get a Season 2?

Toradora is a popular romantic comedy anime. It was released in 2008 and had a total of 25 episodes with one OVA. Throughout the years, fans have been patiently waiting for a sequel. The demand even increased now that Netflix decided to re-upload the series, but will Toradora ever get a season 2?

Toradora was originally a light novel that was adapted into a manga. With its popularity, the series got an anime adaptation. By 2009, Toradora got a visual novel available on PlayStation Portable.

Toradora follows the life of Ryuuji Takasu and Taiga Aisaka who both wanted to end up with their respective crushes until they fell for each other.

Will Toradora Ever Get a Season 2?

Unfortunately, it seems like a sequel will not be possible anytime soon. There were no official announcements or even hints that could lead to the possibility. But this did not stop fans from waiting and the petitions to continue.

As for the original content, both the light novel and manga have been finished. The last episode of the anime also showed the last part of the original content, despite having a different version to it. With this, the chance of having a sequel is incredibly low.

There is always an option to have original anime content but that would depend on J.C Staff, if it will continue the series. Fans are hoping that it can be a remake of the original series, a spin-off, or even just a special to see what happens next to Taiga and Ryuuji.

For now, fans will have no choice but to wait.

Why is Toradora Popular?

While a romantic comedy anime is quite common, fans still loved the dynamics of the characters. Each character has a unique personality that added color to the series. Fans also want to know what happens to Ami, did she continue as a model or followed a different path?

Did Minori become a successful athlete? How about Kitamura? Did he finally end up with Maruo? Of course, what happens next to Taiga and Ryuuji?

The series also tackled other topics like family and friendship. As the story progressed, the characters also developed which made fans love the series more.
