What Is Great Pretender About?
Great Pretender is an action, adventure, and comedy anime with Makoto “Edamame” Edamura at the center.
Edamura is an experienced con man who can swindle unsuspecting victims in various scams and frauds together with his good friend and partner-in-crime, Kudo.
He even claims that he is Japan’s greatest con artist!
In a sudden turn of events, Edamura crosses paths with Laurent Thierry, a world-class con man, who poses as a vulnerable foreigner in the land of the rising sun.
As the plot unfolds, Laurent drags Edamura into his grand schemes and elaborate heists.
First, Laurent uses Edamura as a drug mule without the latter knowing, and the rest is history!
Great Pretender Razbliuto Is All about Dorothy
Dorothy, now known as Li Xiang Xiang, is the main character of Great Pretender Razbliuto, the sequel to the original TV anime.
It follows an amnesiac Dorothy, who lost her memories from the time she was a conman with Laurent and the rest of Team Confidence.
In her new life as Li Xiang Xiang, her paths cross with Jay, the adopted son of a syndicate leader.
Will There Be a Great Pretender Season 3?
As of writing, Great Pretender season 3 has not yet been announced or confirmed by its production committee, despite the release of its sequel film.
For now, fans will have to settle with Razbliuto to satisfy their anime needs.
