The Kingdoms of Ruin opens with the death of the powerful ice witch Chloe, Adonis’ mentor. After witnessing the death of the witch who raised him, Adonis swears revenge on the human race. So, who dies and who survives in The Kingdoms of Ruin?

Does Doroka Die?
Yes, Doroka dies in The Kingdoms of Ruin. But she doesn’t stay dead because Adonis chooses to resurrect her instead of Chloe.
Before her death, Doroka reveals to Adonis that the witches were planning to resurrect Chloe and that they needed him to do so.
She tells Adonis that he is no longer alone, but unfortunately, she gets shot and dies.
Later on, the witches bring Adonis to the Kingdom of Witches. There, he meets the last of the witches.
They begin the resurrection ritual, but after realizing that Chloe should be at peace, Adonis chooses not to bring her back.
He decides to bring Doroka back. The choice to resurrect Doroka also comes from the fact that he did not want to be in debt to anyone.
Since Doroka saved him at Redia, Adonis decides to return the favor by bringing her back.

Does Adonis Die?
After Adonis is freed from prison, he summons a giant robot and nearly destroys the city. While it appears that the soldiers succeed in taking Adonis down and killing him, the humans later realize that the corpse is fake.
It turns out that a witch named Anna cast Duplication Magic. And as mentioned earlier, the witches bring Adonis to their land.
There, he meets the remaining witches, and they inform him how they intend to resurrect Chloe. But instead of bringing Chloe back, Adonis chooses to resurrect Doroka.

Does General Yamato Die?
Yes, General Yamato dies in The Kingdoms of Ruin. Yamato was the Chief of the National Security Bureau who blamed Adonis for what happened to his sister, Yuki.
Yamato leads the attack at Lunamilia, and he and Adonis face off in a duel. Their fight was put to an end by Doroka, who uses her Love Magic to paralyze Yamato.
Doroka couldn’t kill Yamato, so Adonis decided to do it himself.

Does Emperor Goethe Die?
Yes, Emperor Goethe dies in The Kingdoms of Ruin. After the witch hunts, Emperor Goethe becomes ill, and this is because of repeated exposure to the nuclear photons released from the Magic Photon Suppression Device.
It turns out that half the soldiers who participated in the witch hunts developed a human cellular function deficiency disease. The people at the science agency believed that the device could kill cells.
And so, the emperor, being the one who operated the device the most, became very ill. However, it’s not the illness that kills the emperor.
The one who kills Emperor Goethe is Queen Andromeda, who is later revealed to be a witch named Dorothea. She has been using her power, the Love Magic, on the emperor.
After thanking Goethe for his hard work in the witch hunts, Dorothea tells him to die. Goethe then kills himself, and Dorothea becomes the new ruler.
Other characters who die in The Kingdoms of Ruin include Anna (Doroka’s friend and the Witch of Duplication), Ophelia Clementine (the Witch of Revelation), and the other witches at the Kingdom of Witches.
