The Kingdoms of Ruin is based on a manga series written and illustrated by yoruhashi which began serialization in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Garden back in 2019.
So far, eight volumes have been released, with over 30 chapters.

What Is The Kingdoms of Ruin About?
The Kingdoms of Ruin is set in a world where humanity once co-existed with witches. God created witches to guide humans.
The humans depended on the witches, and humanity flourished through the power of magic. But the humans also came to fear the witches.
Later on, an advanced scientific revolution rendered the powers of a witch unnecessary.
Because of their advanced technology and scientific progress, the humans became confident and their fear of witches disappeared.
The greatest nation in the world began a witch hunt to eliminate all the witches in the land.
Among the victims of the brutal witch hunt is Chloe, a powerful ice witch who raised the human Adonis and taught him magic.
After being forced to watch his mentor die, Adonis, the witch’s apprentice, swears revenge against the human race.
He then meets Doroka, a witch who wishes for peace between humanity and the witches.
Seven Seas Entertainment, who licensed the manga series for English publication, described the story of The Kingdoms of Ruin as a “bloody battle between science and magic.”

How Many Episodes Will The Kingdoms of Ruin Have?
The Kingdoms of Ruin is listed to have 12 episodes in total, which will be divided into three Blu-ray volumes.
The first volume will include Episodes 1-4 of the series. The second volume will include Episodes 5-8, while the third volume will include Episodes 9-12. The three volumes will be available in 2024.
The first episode of the series is scheduled to premiere on October 6, 2023, in Japan.
In the US, The Kingdoms of Ruin begins streaming on Crunchyroll on October 6, 2023, at 1:30 PM ET. New episodes will then be released every Friday.
Crunchyroll also announced that The Kingdoms of Ruin is among the Fall 2023 anime that will be getting an English dub.
The series is produced by Yokohama Animation Lab, which is best known for shows such as Lapis Re:LiGHTs and The Great Cleric.
