Later on, an advanced scientific revolution rendered the powers of a witch unnecessary.
Because of their advanced technology and scientific progress, the humans became confident and their fear of witches disappeared.
The greatest nation in the world began a witch hunt to eliminate all the witches in the land.
Among the victims of the brutal witch hunt is Chloe, a powerful ice witch who raised the human Adonis and taught him magic.
After being forced to watch his mentor die, Adonis, the witch's apprentice, swears revenge against the human race.

Will The Kingdoms of Ruin Get an English Dub?
Yes, The Kingdoms of Ruin is getting an English dub! Crunchyroll announced that The Kingdoms of Ruin is among the Fall 2023 anime that will be dubbed in English.
Other new anime shows that are getting an English dub include Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, Shangri-La Frontier, and The Apothecary Diaries.
When Will The Kingdoms of Ruin's English Dub Be Released?
The English dub for The Kingdoms of Ruin is premiering on October 20, 2023, as confirmed by Crunchyroll.
This means new episodes of the English version are expected to come out every Friday in the US and other select regions.
The first episode of the English dub comes nearly two weeks after the anime debuted, so expect the English version to be delayed by two episodes from the Japanese version.
The Kingdoms of Ruin English Dub Voice Cast
Alongside the premiere, Crunchyroll has also revealed the anime's English dub voice actors, and they are:

- R Bruce Elliott (Whitebeard in One Piece) as Goethe
- Kiba Walker (Manabu in Tomodachi Game) as Palpol
- Naya Moreno (Cathy in Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) as Anna
