What is interesting is that Asta does not have any kind of power while Yuno was born with immense magical power, making him a prodigy. Both of them wanted to become the next wizard king but who gets the title in the end?

Who Becomes the Wizard King in Black Clover?

This question is one of the driving factors that kept viewers hooked to the series. From the start, Yuno has the advantage as he was a prodigy. But Asta did not let this bother him. He focused on what he had and improved his innate talent. Their growth inspired viewers to do their best in their everyday lives.
The 29th Wizard King was Fuegoleon Vermillion. This was a bit expected as he is the closest to the throne. He has leadership skills and an oozing charismatic personality. He will be succeeded by Asta. How did that happen and when does it happen? Fans will have to find out for themselves.
Given the situation, Asta worked harder than anyone else in the series. Some people might consider his tenacious personality as stupid, but it was one of the reasons he achieved his dream. Asta never gave up. There might be times that he is ignorant or blurt out things that randomly pop up in his head, but that does not make him actually stupid.
Those flaws make Asta who he is: a genuine and hardworking person. He improved his physical abilities with the hopes of gaining magic. And when he did become the wielder of a five-leaf clover grimoire, he was able to possess Anti Magic which complemented his overall skills, making him more powerful than before.
With these, it is not a surprise that Asta became the Wizard King. He deserves the title as he put his whole being into achieving his goal.
