Wonder Woman 1984 was taken out of the library of HBO Max last January 24 due to the stipulations between Warner Bros. and HBO Max that the film will be removed on HBO Max the same day it leaves the theaters which are 30 days after the release date.

Given that Wonder Woman 1984 was released on Christmas day of 2020, it meant that on January 24, it will be the 31st day of the HBO Max streaming of the film and would be the last day it would be there. Hopes are still up as Wonder Woman will be having its 4K Ultra HD Release anytime soon and it is also possible to return to HBO Max soon.

Wonder Woman 1984 follows the story of Diana Prince living a quiet life in the vibrant and sleek ‘80s where there is a current pursuit of having it all. Diana has been living and maintaining a low profile as a curator of artifacts in a Washington DC museum and being a heroine incognito.

At work, she met Barbara Minerva where they encountered the Dreamstone, a relic with an unknown origin. The Dreamstone has inscriptions about granting wishes, and Diana, not knowing yet the true nature of the stone, silently wished for the love of her life to be back in her arms, Steve Trevor.

On the other hand, Barbara wishes to be like Diana, unaware that Diana is a superheroine with amazing abilities and powers. As Barbara was enjoying her wish that came true, Diana's wish came true with Steve Trevor appearing in another person.

Max Lord, a television personality, pursues his agenda on the Dreamstone in hopes of becoming powerful and upon having the Dreamstone, he wished to be the whish giver himself.

Diana finally learns about the true nature of the Dreamstone and realized that in every wish, there would be a corresponding consequence, balancing the universe of when something is taken, it is replaced by something else.

Diana's pursuit became harder as Barbara turns into Cheetah and protected Max Lord. Knowing that the only remedy is to renounce each wish, Diana took the hard choice and renounced her wish. She then convinced everyone to do the same.

As for Max Lord, his son, Alistair, wished for him to come back. Only then did he realize that all his power-hunger is meaningless without his son.

Wonder Woman 1984 also gave a bonus for the fans giving Asteria in the mid-credits scene where she is played by none other than the OG Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter.

After Wonder Woman 1984 left HBO Max last January 24, Wonder Woman 1984 will be having it's 4K Ultra HD Release as announced and confirmed by The Digital Bits along with Zack Snyder's Justice League.
