It's official, Wonder Woman 1984 is not on HBO Max anymore and we will be waving goodbye to our beloved Diana Prince… for now.

In previous reports, Wonder Woman 1984 only has a day-and-date release on HBO Max which means that today, January 24, 2021, marks its 31st day – the day Wonder Woman leaves HBO Max.

This is because of the simultaneous release of Wonder Woman 1984 on theaters and basing the stipulation between Warner Bros. and HBO Max, Wonder Woman 1984 would only be streaming for a total of 30 days, which makes the 31st day, January 24, the day of goodbye.

This 31-day period started on Christmas day, December 25, 2020, as a Christmas release-slash-gift especially to DCEU and Wonder Woman fans.

Wonder Woman 1984 is set in the same year as the title where Wonder Woman is a museum curator in Washington DC and there, she met a new co-worker Barbara Minerva, where they encounter a relic called the Dreamstone.

Diana, not knowing of the origin of the Dreamstone yet, wished for Steve, and later on, the love of her life is finally in her grasp. Meanwhile, Barbara, who later on becomes Cheetah, wished on the Dreamstone that she wants to be like Diana then wished again to become an apex predator and be unlike anyone else.

Max Lord, a television personality slash con man, who owns an oil company with no oil lands (like seriously how did he fool the investors?) wanted the Dreamstone not only for himself but he wanted to be one with the Dreamstone and be the wish giver himself. In return, his health deteriorated by every wish he grants.

Max Lord then scoured the riches of the world starting with the King of Crude and the rest is movie history. Max Lord has forgotten about his son in his power-hungry journey. Alistair, who was waiting for him in his office, wished for Max to come back.

The only way Diana could do to stop the demise of the nation is to renounce her wish of having Steve and convince the world as well to do the same. In her heart-wrenching speech, Diana was able to convince even Max Lord himself to renounce his wish and return to Alistair.

In the mid-credits' scene, the fans were given a bonus with Asteria, the powerful warrior of Amazon who held off the men from invading Amazon. It was portrayed as none other than the OG Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter.

While there is no confirmation yet whether Wonder Woman 1984 would be back to HBO Max given that HBO Max already saved DCEU some space on its platform, there is a high probability that it will and maybe earn a permanent seat on the library of HBO Max.

Wonder Woman 1984 didn't confirm either whether it would be released on DVD or Blu-Ray, the traditional physical release of the film. Guess we could wish this to Max Lord, too?

But surely, this won't be the last we'll see Wonder Woman as she joins and reunites with the team for the Snyder Cut of Justice League arriving on March 2021.
