As far as superheroes go, there's no doubt that Spider-Man has a huge fanbase. This is probably why all of its films become box office hits. Now that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been confirmed, many are looking forward to when its release will be. And the good news is that its release date has been announced. This is the much-awaited sequel of the 2018 Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film.

When Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was first announced, it was intended to be released in cinemas on April 8, 2022. The date was then moved to October 7, 2022, which also got postponed to another date. And now, we're learning that the film will be divided into two parts; which also means that there will be two separate release dates.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released on June 2, 2023. The second part, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part II, will be released on March 29, 2024.

As its producer, Chris Miller, teased:

"The development of new groundbreaking art techniques being done for the next Spider-Verse movie are already blowing me away. It's going to make the first movie look quaint."

This was echoed by another producer, Phil Lord, who said that the sequel has six different animation styles and is designed to "wow you every time you enter a new environment, and also to make sure that the style of the movie reflects the story."

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will follow the theme of the first movie where it unveils the different universes. In the sequel, Miles Morales teams up with the other Spideys from different dimensions as they face a new threat.

The official synopsis of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse reads:

"Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered."
