Andor Story: What is Andor Season 1 About?

As mentioned, Andor is a prequel to Rogue One, which takes place five years before. The trailer reveals that Andor takes place in post-Order 66 since the stormtroppers still aren't in their classic armor. The trailer does not mention of a lightsaber or the Force, so it could be one of the Star Wars spinoff shows that a Jedi or Sith is considered a vital character. There's a chance we won't see a glimpse of Hayden Christensen (as Darth Vader) in Andor.

The show will talk about the origin story of the titular character as well as the Rebellion.

For fans who've watched Rogue One, Cassian (played by Diego Luna) is decided to kill a Rebel spy so that he won't disclose information significant to the Rebellion. In the process, Cassian almost kills Galen Erso (played by Mads Mikkelsen). Andor (the show) will likely expose the history behind this scene.

Yes. When Andor was first revealed at the Star Wars Celebration 2022 event, the producers revealed that the show is actually a two-part series separated into 12-episode seasons. From the start, the writers have emphasized that each season will be continuing the thematic elements.

While Andor Season 2 has been confirmed, filming has not yet started for the series. It will likely start in the fall, just in time after the first season ends.
