The Marvels movie sets up a bigger picture for the future of the MCU's continuity. Now that Monica Rambeau is stuck on the other side of the universe, what could happen next? Here's a list of Marvel movies & series to watch after The Marvels.

WARNING: This article contains MAJOR SPOILERS for The Marvels, so READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!

The Marvels Recap: What Movies & Series Does the Ending Set Up?

There are three things that the ending of The Marvels has set up: gathering the Young Avengers, the ever-expanding Multiverse of the franchise, and Captain Marvel's origin story.

Kamala Khan finally found out what it's like to work with her longtime Avenger idol, Captain Marvel, and it's not everything she always dreamed it would be.

There were stakes to hold and sacrifice, but she did catch up with one other thing she could be doing with her fellow younger supers, and that is to gather the Young Avengers.

Though it wasn't explicitly stated, MCU diehards already knew where this was going the minute she first found Kate Bishop (Hawkeye).

Meanwhile, the thing about the Multiverse is when Monica Rambeau finds herself trapped in an alternate reality where her mother, Maria Rambeau, is not her mother, but a different super entirely.

Not to mention, the canonization of the X-Men and mutants thanks to the appearance of Mr. Beast.

Lastly, a potential The Marvels 2 or a Captain Marvel 3 coming to fruition in the future.

Now, without further ado, here's what we think you might want to watch after seeing The Marvels in theaters or once it drops on Disney Plus.

Echo

Technically, while the Echo series doesn't have any relation to the events of The Marvels, nor in the big continuity and multiverse of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's the next upcoming Marvel series coming to Disney Plus.

Coming out on January 10, 2024, Echo will kickstart Marvel for the new year when all of the series' episodes start streaming on its premiere day.

Not only does this mark new Marvel content that isn't related to the growing expansion of the Multiverse, but rather, a new superhero coming in the midst of the franchise.

In relation to the gathering of Young Avengers, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is rumored to include the incarnated versions of Wanda's twin boys, William Kaplan aka Wiccan, and Billy.

If this does come true in the upcoming MCU series, then we're looking at the next set of superheroes Kamala (and Kate) could be adding to their roster of the young Marvels.

SPOILER WARNING: PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

The post-credit scenes of The Marvels showed that Captain Monica Rambeau found herself in an alternate reality across from the main MCU timeline.

Waking up in the strange parallel universe, she saw Dr. Beast and her mother, Maria Rambeau, in a different supersuit.

The MCU has been trying to find ways to include more mutants and make them canon in the Multiverse, and though we did get our first to be Kamala Khan and in some episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, Deadpool 3 will completely establish the X-Men and mutants in the cinematic universe.

Fantastic Four

Last but not least, Marvel's first family, Fantastic Four, will likely be related to the introduction of the X-Men and more mutants into the MCU.

Although the MCU reboot is currently slated for sometime in 2025 (whether it's November 8, 2024, February 14, 2025, or May 2, 2025), the Fantastic Four could backtrack into the parallel universe and possibly work with Doctor Strange in solving the Multiverse crisis.
