Now that The Acolyte’s Season 1 is over, Star Wars fans are still in for a treat this upcoming D23, with rumors about brand-new Star Wars content in the pipeline.

D23 is Disney’s official fan club, popularly known for its fan events and expo. At these events, fans can get sneak peeks of upcoming media and content from different Disney franchises.

Fortunately for Star Wars fans, the Force has always been with them with the following speculated Star Wars media.

New Mainline Trilogy

It has been almost five years since the premiere of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. Lucasfilm may have been cooking something great featuring the iconic Rey Skywalker as a protagonist in the upcoming Star Wars saga movies.

Earlier this year, film journalist Jeff Sneider mentioned that Daisy Ridley is getting a $12.5 million paycheck for several Star Wars films, which will expand on the franchise's lore and explore a new era of the New Jedi Order.

The latest entry to the trilogy may premiere in 2027, a year after the most-awaited Mandalorian and Grogu movie release. D23 is possibly the best medium to announce

Mandalorian and Grogu Movie

Jon Favreau helms the film, featuring Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni as co-producers. The adorable yet intimidating Din Djarin and Grogu duo will finally be released in 2026.

Currently in production, The Mandalorian and Grogu movie is set to tie everything happening in Lucasfilm’s featured TV shows. Many speculate that the upcoming movie will also feature lead characters from the TV shows Ahsoka and Star Wars: Rebels, leading Lucasfilms’ very first cross-over movie similar to Marvel’s The Avengers.

The movie will heavily focus on The Mandalorian and Grogu’s connection and how they provide purpose to one another in a post-Empire galaxy. While the movie’s production only started in 2024, a new trailer or concept art may be showcased in D23 this weekend.

Andor Season 2 and Ahsoka Season 2

Andor and Ahsoka are confirmed for their second seasons, and D23 is the best place to showcase what is in store for the two titles. Andor’s Season 2 will reportedly span multiple years up to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Ahsoka’s second season will continue the story of Ahsoka and her apprentice, Sabine Wren.

A sketch from Dave Filoni depicts Ahsoka and Sabine continuing the story right after the events of Season 1 on the planet Peridea, and Cassian Andor returns with other notable characters such as Saw Gerrera and B2EMO. Who knows, a real-life B2EMO might be patrolling the grounds of D23 this weekend.

Starring Jude Law, Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew is a brand-new story about four kids in a galaxy far, far away.

While little is known about the main plot of the TV show, the series will take place during the New Republic era - the same period as the TV shows Ahsoka and The Mandalorian.

John Watts, the director of the MCU Spider-Man trilogy, and Christopher Ford are the showrunners of the action-adventure TV show, while Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are executive producers.

The story follows a group of kids trying to find their way home. While this plot may seem vague to Star Wars fans, D23 will hopefully add more details to the upcoming TV show.
