Talks of the show started in April 2021 when it was rumored that Ji Hyun Woo and Park Ha Na's agencies were considering the role in the series. This was formalized when photos from the table read were released in July 2021.
Filming then started shortly. However, the show had a number of temporary suspensions due to a COVID-19 health scare among cast and crew members.
The first episode of the show made its premiere on KBS2 on September 25, 2021. Succeeding episodes were then released every Saturday and Sunday until March 27, 2022.

There was a total of 52 episodes throughout the show's run. Due to the show's success, it was revealed that the show was extended for two more episodes, thus the 52-episode count.
What is Young Lady and Gentleman About?
The official synopsis of the show reads:
"A spirited young woman with a big heart becomes the new live-in tutor for a wealthy household grieving a recent loss."
Ji Hyun Woo stars as Lee Young Kook, a newly widowed corporation chairman with three children. He hires Lee Se Hee (as Park Dan Dan) to be the live-in tutor for his kids, who he later starts to develop feelings for. By chance, other members of Dan Dan's family start working for the wealthy businessman as well.
The story is reminiscent of the classic, The Sound of Music, and the award-winning Korean film, Parasite.
