An ancient curse user, Kenjaku is one of the main villains of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Kenjaku has lived for over a thousand years because of his innate technique, which allows him to transfer his brain to other individuals, gaining control over them.

Over the centuries, he has taken control over various individuals, adopting their identities.

Among his past hosts are Noritoshi Kamo, the creator of the Cursed Womb: Death Paintings within the Kamo Clan; Kaori Itadori, who is Yuji Itadori’s mother; and Suguru Geto, whose corpse Kenjaku presently inhabits to exploit his expertise in Cursed Spirit Manipulation.

What Did Kenjaku Do at the End of the Shibuya Incident?

Toward the end of the Shibuya Incident, Yuki Tsukumo saves everyone and confronts Kenjaku, who has taken over Geto’s body.

Yuki and Kenjaku clash over what humanity’s future should be.

Yuki believes in breaking away from cursed energy while Kenjaku strongly advocates optimization for driving evolution.

Kenjaku envisions a world marked by violence due to Japan’s dominance in cursed energy.

This could trigger retaliation from other global powers, leading to the exploitation of humans.

He dismisses the world’s fate and sees untapped human potential beyond curses and jujutsu sorcerers.

Kenjaku also views the creation of Death Paintings as a failure. He proclaims that the answers lie in the uncontrollable chaos of darkness.

He then reveals that he already has access to the cursed technique needed to initiate the process.

Kenjaku then remotely unleashes Idle Transfiguration on every human that has been marked by him.

Before the Shibuya Incident, two types of people were marked and these individuals were non-sorcerers.

The first group consists of non-sorcerers intended to retain their status but unexpectedly manifest new cursed techniques, for instance, Junpei Yoshino.

The second group comprises vessels who have consumed cursed objects, similar to Yuji.

Kenjaku plans to unleash a thousand evil sorcerers and instigate them to engage in combat with each other.

Meanwhile, Yuki wonders if people would willingly partake in such lethal confrontations.

However, Kenjaku explains that he has accounted for all variables and would ensure nothing comes in the way of his plan.

Toward the end, Kenjaku declares the resurgence of the Heian Era while deploying multiple cursed spirits to provide a diversion for his escape.

Before leaving, he states that the Golden Age of Jujutsu will make a comeback.
