Toward the end of the final episode titled Shibuya Incident – Gate, Close, Yuji is seen walking on a desolate bridge, and he seems to be looking for cursed spirits.

He is aware that many of them are still present in Tokyo. As the sun rises and illuminates the skyline, Yuji takes a deep breath, raises his hands, and claps.

As soon as he claps, several cursed spirits emerge from the sea. It is a visually stunning scene, with many fans wondering if it has a deeper meaning.

However, it might be as simple as Yuji trying to attract cursed spirits using sound. It might be a tactic to lure them out in the open so that he can exorcise them.

Yuji and Aoi Todo are extremely close to each other and are best friends and brothers in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Aoi’s innate technique is called Boogie Woogie. By clapping his hands, he can manipulate the orientation of anything possessing sufficient cursed energy, allowing him to perform swaps.

However, we don’t think there is a connection between Yuji’s clap and Todo’s Boogie Woogie.

The Shibuya Incident turned out to be a harrowing disaster for Japan, marked by the disappearance of several civilians and politicians. Tokyo’s streets were now haunted by curses, and chaos was on the rise.

Yuta Okkotsu, returning from an overseas trip, stood as the sole special-grade sorcerer at the disposal of the jujutsu authorities.

During his meeting with them, Yuta was assigned the grim task of executing Yuji.

Alongside this mandate, the higher-ups issued death sentences for Pseudo-Geto and Masamichi Yaga, while strictly forbidding the release of Satoru Gojo by anyone.

The ending of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 also made way for the next major arc named the Culling Game arc, which will be adapted in Season 3 of the anime.
