When Does Secret Invasion Happen on the MCU Timeline?
Whether you’re a new MCU fan or not, the MCU timeline matters to the saga of Marvel.
Not only does it depict the storytelling Marvel Studios has set up for years, but it also helps in pinpointing what happened before and after the films and series.
With Secret Invasion, the series already unveiled its official place on the MCU timeline.
See, since Nick Fury was included on the list of people (half the universe) that got Blipped, The Blip took five years, which took off five years from their supposed present age, leading to Fury at present time (the year 2025).
Specifically, Secret Invasion takes place in the ‘present day’ of the MCU, right after She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.
Additionally, Secret Invasion also takes place before the events of The Marvels, where all three Captain Marvels: Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) collide and work together in space.
As of writing, though, do take note that Secret Invasion has not yet been confirmed whether it will continue on its story for a Season 2 renewal.
However, Marvel did confirmed that The Marvels will directly tie in as the aftermath of the events from Secret Invasion.
So things could still probably get switched up on the MCU timeline once it suddenly gets a second season in the future.

What’s Next After Secret Invasion? Marvel Films and Series Coming Next
Well, Loki Season 2 would be the next upcoming Marvel series on Disney Plus. Though it won’t be connected to Secret Invasion’s plot, it is the next TV show on the roster.
This time, Loki Season 2 focuses on, well, Tom Hiddleston’s god of mischief and the return with his partner, Mobius (Owen Wilson).
Loki Season 2 will be joined by Sophia Di Martino (Sylvie), Jonathan Majors (Victor Timely/Kang the Conqueror), Ke Huy Quan (Ouroboros), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Ravonna Lexus Renslayer, and more.
As for the next MCU film that occurs right after the events of Secret Invasion, as mentioned, Nick Fury’s next project comes out in The Marvels, where he will be leading the three Captain Marvels in space, as Marvel Studios’ official synopsis for the Captain Marvel sequel:
Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels.’
Considering the Skrulls tie in perfectly with the first Captain Marvel movie (where the green shapeshifters were first introduced), Carol Danvers' retaliation against the Kree makes even more sense to happen after Nick Fury's TV show.

President Ritson's Rage Against the Skrulls Could Lead To Armor Wars
President Ritson did not take the Skrull invasion over earth lightly as he practically declared war against all Skrulls being gunned down by his army.
This could potentially lead to what we can expect to happen in Armor Wars, which will center Don Cheadle's Rhodey in proving that he is beyond being Iron Man's sidekick.
While we have yet to get our official synopsis for Armor Wars, Rhodey had just woken up from his long deep slumber in the Skrulls' basecamp in Secret Invasion Episode 6, meaning he would have lots of catching up to do with his job.
In the Marvel Comics, Armor Wars is basically the comic book story of Rhodey having to deal with the thieving and abuse of Tony Stark's tech falling into the wrong hands.
As of writing, Armor Wars has only been confirmed to be a part of the future Marvel Phases, definitely not under Marvel Phase Five nor Six, so it'll still be a long way before we get to see this film on the big screens.
But it is one of the most anticipated MCU films in case you'd like to find out what happens next for the Skrulls, after The Marvels comes this November.
