Jujutsu Kaisen fans are currently blessed with much-awaited content, following the recent announcement regarding Jujutsu Kaisen 0 The Movie. However, the plot of the movie revolves around the prequel, which focuses on Yūta Okkotsu. Anime-only fans may not really know who that is yet, but rest assured Yūta will definitely be an important character for what’s yet to come in the anime.

Jujutsu Kaisen follows the story of Yūji Itadori, a high school student who’s part of the Occult Club. The only family he has is his grandfather, whose dying wish was for him to help people and save them. After a series of events that causes him to consume the finger of Sukuna, the King of Curses, he finds himself dragged into the hidden world of sorcery. He now must learn to control his newfound power and become a Jujutsu Sorcerer, keeping his grandfather’s last words in his mind.

While there is no official announcement yet regarding a second season, there are probably some fans who can’t wait to find out what happens after the events of the Death Painting arc, which was the last arc covered in Season 1.

With that, some probably want to go ahead and read the manga so they can catch up with what is happening.

Season 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen has a total of 24 episodes, which covered Chapters 1 to 63 of the manga. So for anyone who wants to read the manga following what happened in the first season of the anime, you can start reading from Chapter 64.

The following arc will cover the past of Gojō Satoru, during his days as a second-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High. I highly suggest that you do read this considering that this arc finally lets us know more about the world’s strongest jujutsu sorcerer.

Considering the continued success of Gege Akutami’s shōnen manga, we can hope that there will be a Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 announcement from MAPPA soon.
