How fitting is it to release a Wednesday teaser today, right? Well, Netflix pulled it off as they dropped an interesting first look at one of the most famous members of The Addams Family, Thing, the disembodied hand, to tease the upcoming Tim Burton-produced series ahead of Geeked Week.

Tim Burton is finally entering the world of series after being a well-known movie director and he would start with one that fits the genre he works the best with. Coming to Netflix would be his first ever series, Wednesday, a spinoff of the classic The Addams Family, starring Jenna Ortega as the titular character.

On the official Twitter page of Wednesday Addams, a short clip of Thing, the disembodied hand, is released with a message to all those who are waiting for the show to arrive. His message says, “Heed my warning. A grave terror approaches. Her name is Wednesday.” Thing carries with him the logo of the show and it teases that the first look of the series would be arriving on June 6.

This only means that the first trailer of Wednesday would be arriving in time for Netflix Geeked Week, on June 6, 2022, and it is one of the most awaited titles which will have more updates from the event.

Wednesday will follow the story of the titular character as she enters the Nevermore Academy where she would try to master her psychic abilities, investigate a series of killings terrorizing the local town, and solve the mysteries that her parents faced half a century ago. She’ll be doing all these while making her new relationships in school work.

Wednesday Addams will be played by Jenna Ortega with Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Otinger, Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus, Naomi Ogawa as Yoko Tanawa, and Percy Hynes White as Xavier Thorpe.

Wednesday is arriving in Fall 2022 on Netflix.
