The latest episode of WandaVision is just as mind-boggling as the previous ones but Episode 5 also revealed something truly shocking: Wanda is not in complete control of Westview. So who is pulling the strings and making things happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series?

In On a Very Special Episode..., Vision begins questioning everything that is happening around him, from the twins aging up rapidly in an instant to how he ended up in Westview in the first place. An exchange with Norm reveals that the neighbor is being controlled by Wanda and that what she is doing hurts him.
When Vision finally returns home, he confronts Wanda, who does everything to deflect him like making the credits roll and claiming she can control him. However, they are interrupted when Pietro shows up at their door.
It's easy to be taken away by Pietro's arrival considering he is played by X-Men: Apocalypse star Evan Peters. However, there was one strange thing that Wanda admitted to Vision before her brother arrived: She doesn't know how their current situation in Westview actually started in the first place.
In the episode, it was confirmed that Wanda stole Vision's remains from SWORD but it was never revealed how she found Westview or started the "Hex" around the town. This strongly suggests that someone else has been controlling her all this time or is at least involved with the creation of the Hex.
But who could be pulling the strings in Westview? There are speculations that Mephisto could be the one who has gotten into Wanda's head. However, we'll have to wait to find out the truth in the next few episodes.
