Excitement is slowly building as we're less than a month away from WandaVision's premiere which will end the 500+ day drought for a lot of Marvel fans. The spinoff show starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will officially kick-off the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 4 but things weren't easy for the show's stars and production crew who had to deal with several issues as they were working on the project.

Speaking about it in a recent feature on the Emmy Magazine, Elizabeth shared the adjustments they had to make while filming WandaVision amid the COVID-19 pandemic, describing the entire experience as "peculiar". "It's very peculiar being directed by somebody with most of their face hidden, and there's no hanging out on the set by the video village watching everyone else...but it is a version of the peculiar that at least works."

The Scarlet Witch actress also revealed that they were dealing with a lot of stress and exhaustion during the first two weeks of filming the show but thanks to the fans' overwhelming response following the debut of the first WandaVision trailer, they were pretty much "re-energized". She added: "When the trailer aired, we were two weeks into filming, exhausted and dealing with the smoke from the California fires...to see the response really helped morale. The next day at work, we all had a little pep in our step. We refocused and got re-energized."

It's crazy to think that we had to wait this long to get ourselves some MCU content when we've all gotten used to Marvel Studios' style of releasing projects at least twice a year but hey, at least Phase 4's upon us and nothing can stop it now. It's also great that we're starting with arguably the most interesting entry out of all the upcoming MCU projects. It's a little too early to say, of course, but I have a strong feeling that this one will blow us away.

WandaVision premieres on January 15, 2021 on Disney+.
