There is little doubt that fans are still hoping for Magneto to show up in WandaVision. Although that hasn't happened yet in the latest episode, On a Very Special Episode... actually paid tribute to Scarlet Witch's comic book father in a truly tense scene.
In WandaVision Season 1 Episode 5, S.W.O.R.D. decided to send a drone into Westview. Under Hayward's orders, the drone attempts to kill Wanda. Enraged, she emerges from the static field and demands that the agency leave her alone.
Interestingly, Wanda issues the threat in the most terrifying way. She hypnotizes the S.W.O.R.D. agents and forces them to point their guns at Hayward. It's a similar move to what Magneto had done in the first X-Men movie.
It's a subtle yet effective tribute to Scarlet Witch's mutant father but WandaVision also made it clear that her parents are completely different in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the same episode, it was revealed that Wanda and Pietro's parents are named Oleg and Irina Maximoff.
This should be a clear indication that Magneto isn't showing up inWandaVision anytime soon. On the other hand, the latest cameo in the series may have teased on the possibility yet again.
In the last few minutes of Episode 5, Wanda and Vision were arguing when somebody arrived at their home. When Wanda opens the door, she is shocked to see Pietro, who is played by X-Men: Apocalypse star Evan Peters. Could this mean we'll be seeing more mutants soon? Keep watching the show to find out.
