WandaVision has no plans of pumping the brakes as it nears the end of the series. The canon series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe opens the fourth phase and while it started in a strange sitcom style of storytelling, it slowly but surely makes a noise as the revelations are finally coming into light.

The series will be the first of the many Disney+ shows that are lined up for this year and it seems that Marvel has been busy making amends for the year 2020 as that was one whole year quiet of Marvel.

WandaVision airs on Disney+ every week and it is set to have nine episodes all in all. Although there are days when the series gets confusing, bringing in more questions than answering previous questions, the series is starting to give more clarity to what is really happening and who is really pulling all the strings.

WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/ Scarlett Witch, and Paul Bettany as Vision, with Kat Denning's Darcy Lewis, Randall Park's Jimmy Woo, Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau, and Kathryn Hann's Agnes in the small town of Westview.

WandaVision Episode 7 Recap Westview Perspective

In Episode 7, Breaking the Fourth Wall, Wanda started the series feeling tired and weary after she expanded the Hex the night of Halloween. Tired from everything that has happened, she subjected herself to a quarantine-style staycation.

Tommy and Billy seem to have been experiencing some glitch in their reality as their console changed repeatedly and this happened as well with Wanda as she goes down for some cereals.

The opening credits of episode 7 seem to have omitted Vision and only focuses on the name of Wanda in a 2010 mockumentary style of storytelling.

Agnes, always to the rescue, arrives to take the boys with her and give Wanda the peace she needs. Alone, at last, Wanda seems to be confused with the continuous glitching of the surroundings as if her control is wearing off. While in the house of Agnes, Billy wonders why in the house of Agnes, everything is so quiet, and given his telepathic abilities, he hears nothing from Agnes.

Vision and Darcy meet at the circus a.k.a. previous SWORD base. Vision had to "wake up" Darcy from the trance-like state she is in where Vision started asking and Darcy kept answering. In their journey going to Wanda, Vision learns of his origin and Darcy remarked that the love Vision and Wanda has is real.

Along the way, they encounter various hindrances which makes Vision think that Wanda has been preventing him from coming home. He left Darcy in the clown car and sped up flying.

Monica appears on the doorstep of Wanda claiming that SWORD is after Vision but knowing their history, Wanda takes Monica out with her powers despite all their neighbors including the mailman, Dottie, and others the power she has. Monica, in turn, shows off her newly acquired powers.

To stop the commotion, Agnes interrupts and takes Wanda under her wing remarking Monica to run along. In the house of Agnes, Wanda asks her where the kids are. After pointing out that the kids might be playing in the basement, Wanda wanders where she found something else.

In the basement is what seems like the lair of Agnes who later introduces herself as Agatha Harkness. She said to Wanda that she's not the only girl in town who has powers. She puts some sort of trance in Wanda and the scene is followed by Agnes' own credits scene titled Agatha All Along answering the question of "who's been messing up everything."

WandaVision Episode 7 Recap Outside Westview Perspective

Director Hayward

Hayward is thankful that Wanda stopped with the expansion of the hex and that it didn't reach them. They built a new base 8 miles away from the barrier, now much further if in case the hex would expand again. Hayward plans on launching something but the episode did not tackle it much.

On the other hand, the good guys outside the barrier arrive in a small makeshift base where Jimmy and Monica see the people of Monica's mom. These are SWORD agents who are loyal to both Maria and Monica Rambeau.

Monica seemed to have a space rover created to infiltrate Westview and, sorry to say, it's not the Fantastic Four who created the car. Monica suits up and prepares to get in but upon reaching the barrier, they realize that it is getting rewritten into a car. With Monica hoping for the best in Wanda, she goes through the barrier to enter Westview despite the disapproval of her colleagues.

Monica struggles as she passes through the barrier. There are flashbacks of voices from Captain Marvel from Carol Danvers, Maria Rambeau, Nick Fury, and the doctor who told her that Maria died. Upon making it through, Monica's eyes glow and her vision seems to have been detecting energies along powerlines before getting it back to normal. She proceeds to where Wanda is in the hex.

In the first-ever mid-credits scene of the series, Monica looks for Wanda and she found the doorway to the basement where she sees the roots from the lair of Agnes. She then encounters Pietro, who hasn't been seen anywhere in the whole episode, and he said: "snooper's gonna snoop."

WandaVision Episode 8 Theories and What to Expect

Agatha Harkness

Now that the true identity of Agnes is revealed as Agatha Harkness and given her own credits showing that she has been the one messing everything up in Westview, could it be that Agatha is the only villain of the series, or could there be more? Some theories say that Agatha's reveal is just a red herring to something bigger. Could it be Ralph, the husband we never got to see ever since?

Agatha Harkness is known for being both an enemy and an ally to Wanda in the comics. She is, after all, the one who brought Wanda closer to Mephisto. Agatha also took Wanda under her wing and taught her to be a powerful witch. Her introduction may be conclusive that she is the villain but what if she's just there to wake Wanda up for something else?

In a scene, we see Agnes at the Director's Chair while interviewing Wanda. Could it be possible that she is also the one who put up the broadcast with the energy to call for help for that outside of Westview?

In the mid-credits scene, Pietro appeared after being nowhere-to-be-found in the whole episode as he sneaks up on a snooping Monica. Theories say that Pietro is not the vessel of the devil, but rather, someone who is there to help his sister and he is investigating on his own which is why we haven't seen him in the episode.

Fans pointed it out that Pietro was controlled by Agatha in the Agatha All Along credits, and the theory goes that Agatha is with the intent to help Wanda cope up with the difficulties in Westview to the point that she brought her brother back who could help them face someone bigger than them.

In a leak posted by a dubious site, it says that Agatha put the kids into a deep trance-like sleep. The leak also says that the next episode will be a flashback of everything that has happened before Westview came into place. Agatha poses as a psychiatrist to help Wanda overcome the grief she faced after the death of Vision.

In the same leak, Agatha puts Wanda under her influence to look for who she is really working for, Nightmare, the husband "Ralph" that Agnes always talks about. As for Pietro, he is the Quicksilver of Fox pulled into the MCU to play the role of the brother of Wanda and he gets into a trance inside the hex.

A big battle is also leaked to happen and Dr. Strange himself will be coming to Westview to hold off the chaos. In his efforts to calm Wanda, Wanda breaks and accidentally tears the multiverse getting Agnes killed in the chaos. Bill and Tommy regain consciousness and runs with their mother. Nightmare retreats and the leak says that the season will end with the end scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Given the new powers of Monica, it is theorized that her powers will be of great help in the coming episodes and this series would be her stepping stone into becoming one of the Earth's mightiest heroes. As per Vision, it is still unknown whether he would be able to get out of the hex safely but given his synthezoid structure, he could be revived somewhere in the MCU timeline.

After the seventh episode, I think we can all agree that we can relate to Wanda's opening scene and by far, makes Wanda more relatable than ever.

Now that WandaVision is slowly giving answers to the various questions surrounding the series, it is expected that the last two episodes of the series will be with a bang and of course, with a longer run time. Stay tuned until the end of the credits because, you'll never know, they may drop something again like in the previous episode.
