As WandaVision continues to reveal more about the strangeness of Westview, neighbors around the area are recurring and are seemingly hinting that Westview is a trap or a dream they can never seem to wake up to.

WandaVision explores a whole new world as the canon series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ventures into the story telling of what is happening both inside and out of Westview with the sitcom as the altered reality and with SWORD trying to figure it out while at a safe distance from the borders of the bubble of the town. With the series introducing another character in Evan Peters' Pietro Maximoff, the series is taking a whole new turn with the characters that are already existing and while some hasn't seen the light of day in the series for quite some time, some characters are having multiple exposures throughout the show.

Aside from Agnes, Herb, Norm, and the characters in the commercials, one of the characters with the most appearances is Dennis, the mailman, the first ever resident of Westview seen on the series.

The mailman has been seen for three episodes already: in the first episode, he is the first resident Wanda and Vision saw in Westview and they even waived at him while delivering mail to another house; in the second episode, he had a strange exchange with Agnes; and his most recent appearance was meeting the twins of Wanda and Vision while looking for Sparky.

His lines are always so strange as if he is hinting that he knows more of Westview than what he shows. In his exchange with Agnes, he remarked "Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger." This was the only time two characters had an interaction without Wanda or Vision.

Does this interaction mean that they already know each other before Westview's events happened? The two has an uncanny connection with their exchange and it seems that they already know each other from way past.

In the board of the characters of the sitcom found in the Westview that SWORD compiled, there was no signs of Dennis the mailman despite appearing in the first two episodes of the sitcom. This points to theories that he might be the person under the witness protection program that Jimmy was talking about.

This may be the reason why Jimmy is putting him out of the grander design of the sitcom because it is Jimmy's role as an FBI agent to protect those in the witsec at all costs.

When the mailman encountered the twins when they were looking for their dog, Sparky, he said that "don't worry. He's sure to turn up. Your mom won't let him get far." His line also sends chills to viewers because it hints that he is aware that what is happening in Westview, stays in Westview.

There is also a theory that he could be Marvel's First Family's unofficial member, Fantastic Four's Willie Lumpkin. Willie Lumpkin is introduced in to comics as the preferred mail carrier of Fantastic Four delivering their mails and bills.

With MCU gearing up to get Fantastic Four in the universe, this could be a way for Marvel to get them involved in the story.

His role in the series also poses a question, what mails are he delivering considering that little to nothing is getting inside Westview?

Is he a messenger to Wanda trying to send her signals or instructions? Is he an outsider purposely put inside of Westview to get an intel of what is happening inside? Is he an agent or something?

His appearances sure appear to be random but again, in MCU, nothing is really random.

With hopes that the series would shed some light as to who might Dennis the Mailman would really be, it is only a matter of time when all will be revealed as WandaVision hits their mid-season mark on Episode 5.

Only four episodes left in the weekly marvel treat on Disney+, WandaVision returns for its sixth episode on Friday, February 12, 2021.
