The official Vinland Saga Twitter account shared the news along with a cool image featuring Thorfinn. It is also confirmed that the big announcement will be dropped during a special livestream event on YouTube on Wednesday.
For now, it is unclear what the update is going to be. However, there is a possibility that the teaser for Vinland Saga Season 2 will be dropped during the livestream event. In addition to that, the release date for the second season could finally be announced.
We are loving the idea that a trailer and release date for Vinland Saga Season 2 will be shared this week. However, it is important to remember that character designer Takahiko Abiru had previously stated that there is still a lot of work to be done on the second season.
"Before I knew it, a much longer time had passed since we announced the production of Season 2. We are still moving forward day by day with the anime production, so we appreciate your patience for a bit longer," Abiru tweeted as he shared a new illustration of Thorfinn.
Vinland Saga Season 2 will bring back the team that works on the first season. This is an awesome decision considering that it means that there will be minimal changes between the first and second seasons. After all, it will be mainly the same people working on the new episodes. In addition to that, it suggests that production on the episodes will go smoothly since the team has worked together before.
