Fans are undoubtedly thrilled after it was confirmed that the Vinland Saga anime is getting a second season. So what exactly do we know about Season 2? Director Shuhei Yabuta has just confirmed that the upcoming season will bring back most of the cast and crew from the previous season.
Earlier this month, Vinland Saga Season 2 was confirmed along with an awesome new trailer. Needless to say, it was a welcome surprise for fans who have been hoping to catch up with Thorfinn's story. Luckily, it looks the anime will continue without too many changes as Yabuta confirmed that the original crew will be back.
Yabuta shared the update on his Twitter account along with an adorable Vinland Saga sketch. Check it out below.
"Time goes by really fast," Yabuta wrote. "This one year, our team had many problems to solve and we have made difficult decisions. But fortunately, the team composition is almost the same and we are motivated to concentrate on this season."
This is truly great news for many reasons. It means that there will be minimal changes between the first and second seasons since it will be mainly the same people working on the new episodes. In addition to that, it suggests that production on the episodes will go smoothly since the team has worked together before.
Vinland Saga Season 2 is currently in production with Yubata set to direct and the original team returning. For now, the new season has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
