Vinland Saga: Takahiko Abiru Drops Season 2 Update With New Thorfinn Art

We have been waiting for Vinland Saga Season 2 for a long time now but updates have been rare and far between. So what exactly is happening with the production? The anime's character designer Takahiko Abiru has just shared a new update on the second season with an awesome new art featuring Thorfinn!

Takahiko Abiru worked on the character design in the first season of Vinland Saga and is set to return for Season 2 so he should know what has been happening with the anime. Abiru recently shared a new illustration of Thorfinn on his Twitter account along with an update on the second season.

"Before I knew it, a much longer time had passed since we announced the production of Season 2. We are still moving forward day by day with the anime production, so we appreciate your patience for a bit longer," Abiru wrote.

It's just a small update but it is great to know that the team is working hard on Vinland Saga Season 2. Although it sounds like the wait for the second season will continue to be a long one, fans are happy to wait as long as it would guarantee that Season 2 will be mind-blowing.

Vinland Saga Season 2 will bring back the team that works on the first season. This is an awesome move considering that it means that there will be minimal changes between the first and second seasons. After all, it will be mainly the same people working on the new episodes. In addition to that, it suggests that production on the episodes will go smoothly since the team has worked together before.

Vinland Saga Season 2 is currently in production with Yubata set to direct and the original team returning. For now, the new season has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
