Popular anime, like Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto have tons of arcs. But the same cannot be said of Vinland Saga. In fact, the historical anime only has four story arcs. So, if you're planning to read the Vinland Saga manga, here's the ultimate Vinland Saga reading guide with all the arcs in order.

All Vinland Saga Arcs in Order
In 2019, Vinland Saga creator Makoto Yukimura claimed that the last arc, which is the Vinland Arc, will have 50 chapters and more than 1,000 pages. This confirms that Vinland Saga will only have four arcs in total.
For those who wish to read the manga, here are all the Vinland Saga arcs in order:
War Arc
Thorfinn witnessed his father’s death when he was a boy. He then promised to seek revenge and kill Askeladd, his father’s murderer.
He joined Askeladd’s band and planned to challenge the man in a fair duel.
However, he and Askeladd were stuck in a war between England and Denmark as a mysterious enemy was on a hunt to kill them.

Slave Arc
Thorfinn was sold into slavery at Ketil’s Farm. Here, he became friends with his fellow slaves, including Einar.
They then decided to work together to attain their freedom. This was where Thorfinn reflected on all his decision in life.
On the other hand, King Canute started his mission to create a paradise on Earth.
Eastern Expedition Arc
In this arc, Thorfinn finally returned home. He and Einer planned to go to Vinland, but he must first fund their travel.
They journeyed to Greece where they met new companions who joined them.
However, Thorfinn got entangled in a war between the different factions of Jomsvikings.
Vinland Arc
Thorfinn started his expedition to Vinland. But he did not expect to encounter a new challenge before he could settle down.

Where to Start Reading the Vinland Saga Manga
As of writing, there are two seasons of the Vinland Saga anime. The second season covered the Slave Arc, which is the manga's second arc.
Given this, those planning to read the manga should start on the third arc, which is the Eastern Expedition Arc.
The third arc will likely be a new anime season if the anime's pace continues.
The fourth and final arc will likely be the fourth season. But do note that we can only speculate at this point based on the anime's pacing.
