It seemed that all the Fall 23 anime have been revealed at this point, but that’s not the case. Recently, the action-comedy anime Under Ninja finally got an official release date announcement via a new trailer.
The show’s latest trailer not only shows off brand-new footage but also previews the anime’s opening theme. The voices of the show’s characters have also been previewed in the trailer.
Under Ninja Anime New Voice Cast Member Revealed
Under Ninja’s new trailer also come with other info reveals, including a new member of the cast.
Specifically, the latest VA to join the show is Koichi Soma (Gibungle in Handyman Saitou in Another World) as Ozu.
Meanwhile, here are all the members of the show’s main cast:
- Taito Ban (Shizusumi Yagi in Given) as Kuro Kumogakure
- Tarusuke Shingaki (Cadis Etrama Di Raizel in Noblesse) as Kato
- Daiki Yamashita (Izuku Midoriya in My Hero Academia) as Shion Hachiya
- Sora Tokui (Nico Yazawa in Love Live!) as Noguchi
- Shuichi Uchida (Shuu Terafune in More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers) as Eita
- Chika Anzai (Chisato Nishikigi in Lycoris Recoil) as Kawado
- Tasuku Hatanaka (Ikoma in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) as Miracle Hibi
- Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya Forger in Spy x Family) as Suzuki
- Cho (Brook in One Piece) as Ono
Aside from several familiar voice cast members, the show’s studio should also be familiar to many anime fans.
That’s because this series is made by Tezuka Productions, the studio founded by the God of Manga himself, Osamu Tezuka.
For most fans today though, Tezuka Productions is best known for animating shows such as the first season of The Quintessential Quintuplets as well as The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses.

Under Ninja Anime Trailer Reveals October Release Date
While the series’ title may imply that it’s a straight-up ninja series, Under Ninja is instead set in an alternate history setting where the Allied Command in Japan set up a ninja agency to counter terrorism after World War II.
The show follows Kuro, a high school loser who is one of the ninjas that are Japan’s first line of defense against foreign assassins.

Along with new footage, the trailer also previews the show’s opening theme Hyper by the Japanese funk-rock band Kroi.
Under Ninja will be released in Japan on October 5, 2023. Currently, there’s no word yet on where it will be streamed outside Japan.
