Tomorrow will be the newest K-drama to present a unique story about grim reapers.
Llama’s Tomorrow is a manhwa that tells the story of a 27-year-old jobless man, Choi Joon Woong, who eventually gets work in the underworld unexpectedly. He works together with grim reapers Goo Ryun and Lim Ryoong Goo to save the lives of people who want to commit suicide.
MBC has yet to reveal further details about the character, but the network recently dropped a chart to explain more about the cast members’ relationships in the drama.

Tomorrow Character Chart Explained
Nearly a week before Tomorrow’s premiere, MBC shared a character chart to explain the relationships between the people working at Joomadeung (phantasmagoria). It serves as the spirit management headquarters in the series.
Kim Hae Sook’s Jade Emperor can be seen at the top of the chart. She is the president of Joomadeung, where the Crisis Management Team exists. Goo Ryun works as the team leader while Lim Ryoong Goo and Choi Joon Woong serve as the assistant manager and contractor, respectively.
The Jade Emperor and Goo Ryun have a business relationship, but the president and Choi Joon Woong only see each other as “old” and “young” people. It has been revealed that Goo Ryun, the woman from hell, was disqualified from the underworld before having business deals with the Jade Emperor.

Lee Soo Hyuk’s Park Joong Gil is the Guiding Management Team’s leader and Goo Ryun’s rival. Since Goo Ryun’s team wants to save lives, their goals contradict as Lee Soo Hyuk believes it is wrong for grim reapers to get involved in the life and death of humans, especially since they choose to commit suicide.
Although the series will focus on the two teams, Joomadeung will also present other departments like the registry management team, management support division, sales division, spirit management team, legal team, and institute of technology.
Tomorrow Directors Say They Are Careful While Creating The Drama
Tomorrow directors worked harder while creating the drama to avoid the potential risks. According to the creators, most people find death as a sensitive topic. With that, Tomorrow could be the series they would not want to tune in.
But director Kim Tae Yoon assured their future viewers that they became cautious in creating the adaptation.
“However, due to the subject matter of our drama, I believe that we have no choice but to face it head-on. Because we decided that the fun of ‘Tomorrow’ is watching the Crisis Management Team empathize with and heal those wounds,” he said.
