It’s only a few weeks until the beginning of the Winter 2023 season, and recently, Crunchyroll announced the English dub cast and release date of the Tomo-chan Is a Girl! anime.
The English dub cast was announced earlier today as this upcoming romance anime is one of the first shows that will premiere in the upcoming anime season.
Unlike other English dubs for anime, this show’s dub will be released at the same time as the Japanese language version.
English Dub Cast Announcement
Specifically, the six main cast members of the anime were revealed. These include the two main characters Tomo Aizawa and Junichiro Kubota.
Here are the main Tomo-chan Is a Girl! cast members for the show’s English dub:
- Lexi Nieto (Takt Op. Destiny, One Piece Film: Red) as Tomo Aizawa
- Ricco Fajardo (Black Clover, My Hero Academia) as Junichiro Kubota
- Jād Saxton (Fairy Tail, Fruits Basket 2019) as Misuzu Gundo
- Sally Amaki (22/7; Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) as Carol Olston
- Christopher Llewyn Ramirez (Horimiya, Radiant) as Tatsumi Tanabe
- Ciarán Strange (Aoashi, Borderlands 3) as Kosuke Misaki
Alongside the cast announcement, a trailer for the English dub version was also released to give fans a taste of what to expect, especially for those who can’t decide between watching the English or the Japanese version.

Tomo-chan Is a Girl! Japanese Cast, Release Date
What’s interesting about the cast is that the fan-favorite character Carol Olston is voiced by Sally Amaki in both the English and Japanese versions.
Amaki is also known for voicing foreign characters in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Bocchi the Rock!
Alongside Amaki, the Japanese cast also features lots of big-name voice actors, including:
- Rie Takahashi (Laid-Back Camp, Fate/Grand Order) as Tomo Aizawa
- Kaito Ishikawa (One Punch Man, My Hero Academia) as Junichiro Kubota
- Rina Hidaka (Komi Can’t Communicate, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) as Misuzu Gundo
- Sally Amaki (22/7; Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) as Carol Olston
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Trigun Stampede) as Tatsumi Tanabe
- Kohei Amasaki (My Hero Academia, Hi Score Girl) as Kosuke Misaki
For many anime fans, Tomo-chan Is a Girl! is one of their most anticipated shows of the season, especially as the 4-panel manga that it’s based on is a popular romantic-comedy series.
Tomo-chan Is a Girl! will premiere its first episode on January 4, 2023, at 10 AM Pacific Time on Crunchyroll. The English and Japanese dubs will be available on January 4 as well.
