The X-Men That These Captain America: Civil War Actors Want To See Joining The MCU

There were many exciting events in Captain America: Civil War, and among these is the cinematic debut of Black Panther, as well as Spider-Man's first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It's certainly thrilling to see T'Challa's premiere in the MCU, but it's Peter Parker's allegiance with Tony Stark that really got fans going. Although Spider-Man is a Marvel character, he is still Sony property. His appearance in Civil War therefore opens a host of possibilities as to the entrance of other Marvel characters, owned by other studios, into the MCU.

Well, it's not just fans who have thought of how cool it would be to see other Marvel characters in the MCU. Three Civil War actors apparently find it interesting as well, and they specifically want 20th Century Fox's X-Men to join the fray.

According to Comicbook.com, the Wizard World Philadelphia event saw Sebastian Stan (Bucky/Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), and Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America) expressing how interested they are to see some mutants joining Avengers: Infinity War .

Stan prefers to see this character in his team:

Looks like it's time to get back some of those X-Men. Mystique. We need that Mystique.

This is kind of a no-brainer. It would be awesome to see a shapeshifter fooling Thanos or his minions.

As for Mackie, his preference is more personal, since he specified just wanting to share screen time with Halle Berry.

Meanwhile, Evans took a more professional approach in his preference. The 34-year-old actor said:

I'd love to work with Fassbender because he's Fassbender. Him and McAvoy, one of those guys would be great to work with.

While Evans spoke career-wise with his standpoint, I must admit it that it would be interesting to see WWII veteran Steve Rogers crossing paths with Holocaust survivor Magneto.

It's also worth noting that while one of MCU's strength had been character development, Fox's X-Men had always explored the powers of its mutants in ways that we don't see often in the MCU. If the X-Men and the Avengers were to really crossover, I'm sure fans will go wild!

The possibility is certainly there. Deadpool director and producer Simon Kinberg did say in an interview back in April that he and "[Marvel's] Kevin [Feige]" are close. The connections are definitely there.

It might take a while before we could see the Avengers and the X-Men together, but the interest is definitely there with the fans and actors themselves. Now, we'll just have to wait and see.
